To improve quality of life and promote the responsible way to treat all pets.
...Responsible Pet Care Mission Statement
Welcome to RPC
Responsible Pet Care of Oxford Hills provides a safe and comfortable environment for dogs and cats from Oxford County, Maine
that have become lost or have been abandonded.
Responsible Pet Care is a no-kill, non-profit shelter.
All of the cats and kittens in our care need permanent homes and are available
for adoption. Many of the dogs will be reunited with their owners; but some will require new homes.
Whether you are looking for your lost pet or you want a companion, make Responsible Pet Care the first place you visit.
We need a few reliable volunteers to work with us in the morning with the cats. Please call for details.
Suzie-Q is one of the worst cases of abuse and neglect we have seen.
When she arrived at Responsible Pet Care she could barely walk because her nails were so overgrown. Her skin was infected and has been for a long time. Her skin is like
that of an alligator and she has very little fur. We have been working with the veterinarian to help Suzie-Q. Through out all of the treatments she has
remained sweet and loving. She is beginning to feel better and can even run. There is still much that needs to be done to get Suzie-Q back to good health.
There will be tests and treatments that will come at a high cost to the shelter. We have set up a donation page at cuddle.com. If you would like to make a donation
to help us make Suzie-Q the best dog she can be so she can be adopted and loved, please follow this link. We appreciate all donations. Help Suzie-Q.
