Feline Adoption Fees
Stray or Owner Surrendered Cats & Kittens
$159 for adult cats (over one year)
$199 for kittens (up to one year)
$79 for senior cats (10 years and older)
Feral or unsocialized cats and kittens (Suggested donation $50)
Happy Traveler – Out of State Rescue Kittens
$225 for all out of state rescues up to one year
Gold Adoption-Purebred Cat
An additional $35 to the adoption fee.
A $35 non-refundable down payment is required to hold a kitten or cat from any category.
Adoption fees are subject to change. Please call the shelter for an accurate price.
All of our adoptable cats have been:
spayed/neutered
FeLV/FIV tested
vaccinated for rabies and distemper
and treated for internal/external parasites
To be qualified to adopt a kitten or cat from RPC you must not have ever surrendered a pet to a shelter.
An approved application is required before a cat is released. The application includes the following:
Personal information: name, address, phone number, etc…
Landlord’s permission, if you rent your home.
Information about pets in your home. All dogs and cats must be current with their rabies and distemper vaccinations.
Name and phone number of the veterinarian that treats your pets.
Two non-family references with daytime phone numbers.
The information on the application will be verified before it is ratified. The approval process can take up to a week if references or the veterinarian cannot be reached immediately. Notification is made by phone and an appointment will be scheduled.
